Features: This tour takes us the length of the rugged scenic coast from Mont Joli to the towns of Gaspé and Percé., We explore the beautiful estate gardens formerly belonging to the first president of the Canadian Pacific Railway. We'll take a couple of detours into the inland mountains for the dramatic scenery and widlife sightings (moose, cariboo, deer, bear). Offshore, seals, porpoises and whales abound. Seabirds are also a major feature of the area. Watch the hang-gliding activity around Mont St Pierre. But the awe-inspiring coastal seascapes continue to draw our attention. We'll explore the area known both as "land's end" and the "cradle of the country", and you'll learn why these names apply. We'll take a ferry to the bird sanctuary of Bonaventure Island, visit the site of the first French explorer's landing in Canada, stay in an inn with a view of Percé Rock, and enjoy the fresh seafood.
